GTI International Show Report

The 2015 event at the Shakespeare County Raceway was a fabulous success, with a lot of smiles, record attendance and plenty of enthusiastic and complimentary feedback. Thanks to all who attended and visited our stand. 

The quarter-mile Sprint track, saw plenty of action with top times recorded by Paul Jordan's 4WD Scirocco (10.2) and Audrius Bagdanavicius's Audi S2 with 10.00. Also attracting plenty of interest (and amazement) was a 200 bhp 4WD VW Passat V6-powered fully road-legal shed, which clocked over 70 mph on the drag strip!

Over 40 clubs put on displays and there was also a wide range of trade stands, cars for sale, autojumble, a funfair and children's amusements, while overnight camping on site was very popular despite a raging thunderstorm on Friday night!

2015 also saw the return of the Monster truck, and evening entertainment included a Friday pre-show organised by Comrades of VAG, while Saturday night saw a DJ and live band - The UB40 Experience.
