While the BMW 330e boasts an impressive hybrid setup with a powerful electric motor for around town cruising, the standard soundtrack when the B48 engages on the open road doesn't hit the spot with M-Sport enthusiasts.
Cobra Sport have introduced a whole range of performance exhausts for the latest generation 330e to suit the needs of any owner and put the 'Sport' back in M Sport. When you engage the Sport Mode, the car's personality transforms, and so should its voice. The upgraded Cobra Sport exhaust systems ensure that your BMW 330e G20 responds with an undeniable surge of energy, delivering an unforgettable driving experience that goes beyond the ordinary.
Cobra Sport has catered to those who wish to retain the OEM-style rear, with their range of Dual Exit exhaust upgrades which utilises the standard rear panel diffuser with a selection of dual 4-inch stainless steel, ceramic coated or carbon fibre tailpipes.
Adding aggression to the rear of hybrid 3 Series, is the new range of Quad Exit exhaust systems which is inspired by the legendary M3 and is designed to fit with the addition of the interchangeable quad exit M3 Style lower rear panel (available separately), and offered with a selection of 3.5-inch stainless steel or carbon fibre tailpipes to ensure your 330e stands out from the crowd.
The new exhaust range is available with a choice of two rear sections, the Valved systems with rear silencer perfectly compliments the 'jack of all trades' character of the 330e. With the valved closed, the exhaust gases pass through the rear silencer allowing the driver to cruise around and eat up the miles in comfort, with just a subtle hint that there is 287BHP available at the press of the right foot.
When driving spiritedly the exhaust valve opens, the exhaust gases are split between the rear silencer and a unique rear silencer by-pass enhancing the exhaust sound levels and allowing the 330e to sing to its hearts content and recording 87.2dB at 4,000rpm, an increase of +10.6dB.
For the ultimate thrill seeker Cobra Sport offers their non-valved venom rear axle back systems, these systems remove the rear silencer and exhaust valves, allows for the biggest upgrade in terms of sound levels at all times recording 89.7dB at 4000RPM (+12.9dB) - whilst keeping the factory fit catalyst and GPF (gasoline particulate filter) in place.
Like all Cobra Sport exhausts, the 330e (G20) exhausts are TIG-welded from high-quality T304 stainless steel and the mandrel pipework for maximum sound and tuning potential.

Sporting a somewhat already iconic engine known for producing tones that make heads turn from rural streets to the cities, Cobra Sport's development team were eager to get their hands on BMW's new G42 generation M240i.
With 369BHP on tap and AWD from factory the new BMW M240i slightly reworks the recipe from its predecessor, however, follows the same beautiful coupe styling with enough muscly bulges to make you stand and stare, visually stunning yet composed. However, as with most modern performance cars the exhaust system lacks a touch of emotion that our development team were only too happy to rectify.
As far as GPF equipped vehicles go, the stock sound of the M240i isn't the worst out there in the current market, you can tell there are 6-cylinders buried somewhere within the vehicle, they are just a little subdued and muted.
What has been done to extract the glorious note of the B58? Following a similar technique to our BMW M2 Competition system the Venom Rear Axle Back System for the M240i removes the restrictive rear box of the BMW to allow for a deeper, throatier tone to be emitted from the tailpipes, utilising 3" pipework for optimal flow, sound and performance. The Cobra Sport system bypasses the factory valve for a consistently sporty tone throughout the rev-range no matter what mode your driving in.
Living with the Venom system is surprisingly pleasant, at low revs there is a sweet bass-like tone that unleashes as your throttle does. Town driving and cruising is comfortable with no extra resonance or vibrations from the stock system, just the affirmation that your B58 will react as soon as your right foot does.
In regard to tailpipes we have opted for the factory look and create our pipework to lead into the OEM trims keeping the finish of the vehicle clean with the added grunt of the Cobra Sport Venom system.

Whilst the engine is playful and bound to put a smile on the face of the driver, the factory exhaust system is muted and dilutes the driving experience.

CUPRA's all-new Leon 300 builds on two decades of successful SEAT performance cars, retaining the highly successful EA888 2.0 TSI engine and produces 300PS.
Whilst these healthy performance figures make the perfect recipe for the ultimate hot hatchback, the new CUPRA Leon is let down by its standard exhaust system, which is muted from the factory, limiting the character you'd expect from a performance car and resulting in a disappointing drive.
For those who want to enhance the sound of their CUPRA Leon 300, Cobra Sport has the solution with their performance exhaust range.
The CUPRA Leon (300) KL1 performance exhaust configurations are as follows:

The latest Honda Civic Type R has divided opinions with its toned down styling, although one aspect of the new Type-R that all 'V-Techsperts' agree on is that the the factory fit exhaust system restricts power and lacks emotion, even when the newly introduced exhaust valve is wide open.
Cobra Sport's development engineers were keen to get to work on the FL5 as soon as it left the factory, offering a range of full range of valved performance exhausts.
For tuners that want to extract optimal performance from their Type R, Cobra Sport's high flow downpipes enter into a huge 4” mouth that reduces to 3” with the sports catalyst option featuring a 4.5" high flow 200 cell catalyst.
Fitting straight off of the downpipe is the cat back system (right hand drive models only), followed by the the front-flex back setup which fits from the front exhaust flexi (right hand and left hand drive models)
Both the Cat and Flex-Back setups are made in 3" (76.2mm) pipework and are available with the choice of the more subtle resonated and the fruiter non-resonated centre sections, opening up the natural sounds of the turbocharged V-Tech engine.
For the FL5, Cobra Sport has designed an all-new 3-inch dual rear silencer design, similar in appearance to the Cobra Sport FK8 systems, but with a optimal layout which utilises the positioning of the newly introduced factory valve.
Along with the larger 3-inch exhaust valve, the silencer internals have been developed to guarantee optimal flow rates and exhaust tone regardless of the drive mode selected. Through digital flow mapping, our technicians have created a system that utilises the valve for its intended use, without compromising flow when closed, offering an adaptable system that suits any drive.
Due to the larger valve all of our FL5 systems will be supplied with a newly designed heat shield that replaces the factory part providing optimal heat protection.
The styling of the Civic Type R has been improved, with a choice of three equally sized 4” (101.6mm) tailpipes, available in stainless-steel, ceramic black and for those suffering with carbon fever, Cobra Sport has the cure in the form of their TP115-CF carbon fibre tailpipe option.

Entering the market with no real power gains over its predecessor did raise a couple of eyebrows with enthusiasts hoping for figures more in line with the mighty A45S.
Although not improved on HP the iconic 2.5 litre 5 cylinder does come with a little more torque totalling 369ft-lbs, enough to feel the extra surge from the previous generation.
Bigger intakes, boxy arches and a wider stance contribute to the aesthetic changes that have you circling the RS3 questioning exactly where the extra stance has appeared from.
To drive the RS3 does pretty much what you would expect, motorway miles disappear in a world of comfort and conformity while B-roads can be motorist heaven (if you have the time and patience to properly set the RS3 in its most capable modes).
While the RS3 does tick most boxes for the all round ultimate family hatch the introduction of the GPF filter to the cars exhaust system has dampened the soundtrack previously offered from Audi's pocket rocket as standard. Even with the optional RS exhaust system installed, the 5 cylinder lump famous for its warbles and cracks now lacks the audible emotion we expect to feel, the Cobra Sport development team worked their magic to revive the feel of the RS3 injecting the traditional Cobra Sport soundtrack with a touch of reservation and class.
Introducing Cobra Sport's GPF back performance exhaust systems for the Audi RS3 8Y, adding more emotion and sportiness to the 8Y was the main aim for the development team at Cobra Sport, utilising 3" bore pipework from the GPF back to the tailpipes the Cobra Sport system delivers a subtle sporty upgrade from stock that can be heard echoing through the wilderness of your B-road blasts but won't disturb your neighbours as you creep back into town.
Keeping the factory placed valves intact is an option for those that want to add further sound control to their ride and ensure that a ninja like presence can be maintained when required.
Delivering an increase in sound the Cobra Sport GPF back performance exhaust delivers 63.4dB at idle a 2.4dB increase on stock. Wind the revs up to 4,000 for an even greater increase in sound delivering 84.5dB compared with stock at 80.8dB matched with a deep sporty exhaust tone.
Like all Cobra Sport Performance Exhausts this system utilises precision TIG-welding techniques for exemplary fit and finish - a feature that gives Cobra Sport an advantage over other manufacturers. With over 25 years in the performance exhaust industry, each Cobra Sport exhaust system is designed, manufactured and tested in Sheffield, the heart of the UK steel industry.

However, in 2002 the final A80 Supra rolled off the production line, and despite fans all round the word calling out for a successor, Toyota wouldn't deliver a successor for another 17 years.
After making JDM fans wait 17 years for their favourite sports car to return, there is a lot of pressure on Toyota to ensure the fans weren't disappointed. The recipe for the GR Supra has remained the same, a rear-wheel drive coupe with an excellent chassis and a highly tuneable 6-cylinder engine. Upfront there is one of the most capable engines currently in production, BMW's iconic B58 3.0 litre turbocharged straight-6, which produces 340BHP and 500Nm of torque. Enough to fire the JDM legend from a standstill to 62MPH in just 4.3 seconds - a figure which will frighten its rivals from Bavaria and Stuttgart.
The well proven B58 straight-6 makes the Toyota GR Supra a tuners dream, however emissions regulations have resulted in the introduction of a GPF (Gasoline Particulate Filter), which limits the aural potential of the glorious straight-6 powerplant.
For those looking to awaken the sound and unlock the performance of their GR Supra, Cobra Sport has the solution with their newly released performance exhaust range, which is stepping away from the norm by focusing primarily on the tuning market through optimal flow rates and a uniquely engineered twin valve option.
The Toyota GR Supra performance exhaust configuration options are as follows:
The pinnacle of the Cobra Sport range is a full double valved turbo back performance exhaust which features a 4.5 in/114.3mm 200 cell high flow sports catalyst teamed with dual 3"/76.2mm pipework, offering unprecedented flow rates for the biggest upgrade in terms of performance, flow rate and sound levels, opening up the tuning possibilities of the Toyota GR Supra.
For those who want to add audible emotion without the need for any engine tuning, Cobra Sport offer their GPF-back performance exhaust range, fitting from the petrol particulate filter and replacing the centre and rear sections, keeping the stock catalyst and GPF in place (MOT compliant). The GPF-back setup is available in two formats, a double valved setup utilises Cobra Sport's unique rear silencer to allow a subtle increase in sound when cruising and add a deep aggressive tone when you push the loud pedal.
The twin valved system offers a jekyll and hyde personality, with the exhaust valves closed the exhaust is refined - allowing the driver to eat up miles in total tranquillity. Then when you hit the country lanes and unleash the B58, the exhaust valves open, and exhaust gases are split between the rear silencer and rear silencer by-pass, delivering the ultimate audible upgrade whilst keeping the factory gasoline particulate filter and catalytic converter in place.
The Cobra Sport development team have also injected the GR Supra with it's signature venomous DNA in the form of the Venom GPF-Back system. This performance exhaust setup offers the biggest audible increase whilst keeping the factory fit emissions devices in place. In Venom GPF-back configuration the GR Supra recorded a +16dB increase in the 4,000RPM static sound test.

Whilst its looks and styling created a storm initial feedback on the M2 was mixed with murmurings of 'wayward handling' and a somewhat uninspiring non-M Motorsport engine. Although very popular amongst M-Lite enthusiasts the ‘beefed up’ N55 delivered 364bhp to the rear wheels which didn’t quite cut the mustard for the true M crowd.
Fast forward to 2018 and it seems the M division engineers were keeping a close ear to the ground, introducing the M2 competition with a completely revised package. Still stunning on the eye with many a black accent to distinguish from the original M2, the competition delivers circa 410bhp from the fully M inspired S55 with a chassis and suspension set up capable of supporting such power turning the M2 competition into a serious sports car that isn’t out of place on track.
Designed to demand attention, engineered to lead.
Although majorly improved from the original M2 unfortunately the competition does lack in the sound department, the introduction of OPF filters to the exhaust system dull the emotion delivered from the 3.0 twin turbo, thankfully Cobra Sport’s development team have succeeded in rectifying the situation.
By developing an innovative axle back Venom system that removes the rear silencer the M2 competition is allowed to sing as it should from factory whilst remaining MOT and emissions compliant.
Delivering a bold increase in sound of +5.5dB at idle and an impressive +12.5dB at 4000 revs the Cobra Sport system levels up throughout the rev range delivering an emotional experience every time you step on the throttle.
To keep the styling fresh on the Competition, Cobra Sport offers Carbon Fibre 4” quad tailpipes that stand out from the stock pipes and complement the black accents of the vehicle supplying a distinctive visual nod to the audible emotion your M2 is now producing.
Like all Cobra Sport exhausts, this system utilises precision TIG-welding techniques for exemplary fit and finish – a feature that gives Cobra Sport an advantage over other manufacturers. With over 25 years in the performance exhaust industry, each Cobra Sport exhaust system is designed, manufactured and tested in Sheffield, the heart of the UK steel industry.

The BMW 3 Series has been the benchmark sports saloon over the past six generations spanning 45 years, and replacing the extremely successful sixth generation 3 Series (codenamed 'F30') was not an easy task for the engineers in Bavaria. The all-new seventh generation 'G20' 3 Series picks up from where its predecessor left off, taking the crown in the sports saloon segment.
Like its predecessor, the all-new 3 Series is available with a range of four and six cylinder petrol engines, with the most popular models being the 320i and 330i. Both of which use variants of the 2L turbocharged B48 engine, with the 330i benefitting from an extra 67BHP over its little brother, resulting in 255BHP, giving BMWs latest saloon sporting intent.
By combining the excellent range of engines with an engaging chassis, and a classy, modern interior featuring all of the latest technology, you are left with one the most capable all-round cars on the road which is almost faultless. However, one area where the 3 Series M Sport doesn't quite hit the spot with M Sport enthusiasts is its exhaust system which is muted as standard and doesn't offer the M Sport style from factory.
By taking inspiration from the legendary M3, Cobra Sport's all-new quad exit performance exhaust for the G20 3 Series has put the 'Sport' back in M Sport. The all-new performance exhaust setup is available with a choice of stainless steel and carbon fibre tailpipes which offer a classy and aggressive upgrade to the rear of the 3 Series and is designed to fit with the addition of the interchangeable quad exit M3 Style lower rear panel (available separately).
Cobra Sport's development team have also captured the motorsport heritage which runs through the veins of the 3 Series, by enhancing the sound throughout the rev range, introducing some much need drama and increasing the noise levels by +6.9dB at idle.
The subtle sound increase perfectly matches the 3 Series, giving it a 'jack of all trades' personality, giving passers-by a hint that this is no ordinary saloon, whilst being subtle and subdued on the motorway, making your 3 Series the ultimate stylish long distance cruiser.

Renault have owned the hot hatchback scene ever since the launch of their first hot hatchback, the Renault 5 Alpine, back in 1976. The recipe has been evolved and perfected over the past four decades and the latest hot hatchback to come from Dieppe is the all-new Renault Megane R.S. 300 Trophy.
The Megane R.S. is powered by the 300BHP 1.8L turbocharged engine as seen in the Alpine A110 sports car, and features Renualt's '4Control' four wheel steering system which allows for enhanced agility and cornering performance. Ever since its launch in 2004, the BMW 1 Series has been a huge success. Many were adopted into the performance and tuning scene thanks to their excellent chassis, handling and powerful engines.
BMW are aiming to replicate the success of the previous model by launching two new performance variants on the F40 setup: the 128ti and M135i xDrive. For those wanting the most performance straight out of the box, the M135i xDrive fits the bill perfectly. However, for over £2,500 less, the 128ti does offer a tempting proposition for new car-buyers. Like the M135i, the 128ti features BMW's B48 2.0l turbocharged four-cylinder engine, but boasts a more modest 261bhp and 295 lb ft. These power figures bring it perfectly in line with the likes of VW's Golf GTI and Ford's Focus ST.
Unlike its big brother, the 128ti does not feature xDrive all-wheel drive, but for the first time in a performance BMW, features front-wheel drive. Whilst not as quick as its bigger brother, the 128ti is more involving and playful thanks to being lighter and front wheel drive.
More stringent European Emissions Standards mean the 128ti is shipped from the factory with a muted exhaust sound leading to a very disappointing driving experience. Cobra Sport were keen to awaken the sound and unlock the performance of the 128ti, and over the past few weeks, their research and development team have been hard at work developing an extensive range of performance exhaust systems including GPF backs and high flow front downpipes.
Cobra Sport opted for 3”/76.2mm precision TIG-welded T304 stainless steel pipework for the biggest upgrade in terms of performance, flow rate and sound levels.
For those who want to significantly improve sound levels, Cobra Sport offers their unique rear silencer delete setup. This performance exhaust is designed without a rear silencer to offer the biggest sound increase whilst keeping a sporty exhaust tone (+12.9dB in GPF back rear silencer delete configuration). This setup keeps the GPF filter in place enabling the car to pass a UK MOT test.
Cobra Sport have improved the styling of the BMW 128ti, creating a noticeably enhanced and balanced look to the rear of the car with a choice of dual 4” (101.6mm) and 4.5” (114.3mm) slash cut highly polished stainless-steel tailpipes. For those looking to take the style upgrade a stage further, upgraded carbon fibre tailpipes are available.

The BMW M135i F40 performance exhaust configuration options are as follows:
The Audi S3 (8V) follows on from the success of it’s predecessor: the S3 (8P). Audi have worked tirelessly to make sure that the updated version of their Quattro, all-wheel drive hot-hatch is improved in every conceivable way, as a result, the EA888 2.0 TSI produces 296bhp, which fires the S3 from a standstill to 62 MPH in just 4.9 seconds and on to a top speed of 155 MPH.
However, the one area where the 2019 - 2020 S3 (8V) lacks compared to its predecessor is its exhaust system, which has seen the introduction of a GPF (Gasoline Particulate Filter). The addition of the GPF allows the S3 to conform to the latest European Emissions Standards, however, this waters down the car’s sound, making a hot-hatch which lacks some of the emotion of the previous model. Cobra Sport in Sheffield have developed a solution for this in the form of their new GPF-Back Performance Exhaust System. Precision TIG-welded from T304 stainless steel, this new system is available with or without integrated valves.
The valves are specially developed to integrate with the factory Driving Modes and open or close depending on the mode selected, so you can keep sound levels to a minimum or unleash the engine's full potential, depending on your mood. In addition to this, vehicles fitted with the optional DSG gearbox will emit an enhanced sporty tone on upshifts. The GPF-Back system, as the name suggests, retains the factory Gasoline Particulate Filter, but still manages to effectively enhance the exhaust note of the vehicle's EA888 2.0 TSI engine.
A range of 3.5” round tailpipe options are available, including highly polished stainless steel tips and Ceramic-coated Blackout tips (optional extra) which really set the rear of the car apart from a standard Audi S3.
