The Cobra Sport Group has seen substantial growth in recent years and are expanding with the acquisition of an all-new purpose built 6,000 sq-ft research and development facility and new headquarters based on the Turner Business Park in Sheffield.

The new site allows the research & development team to release a larger range of performance exhausts for a wider range of cars and motorcycles. The new premises will also be home to a specialist team of exhaust technicians, catering to the growing demand of custom built exhaust projects for cars, motorcycle and motorsport applications.

The expansion also sees an increase in the capacity of the production team at the existing manufacturing facility based on the Sheffield Industrial Estate near Meadowhall.

Rachel Abbott, managing director at Cobra Sport: "As this ambition has moved closer to reality, it’s become increasingly important that we secure a new second site that would allow us the physical space to expand our product offering, so we can meet our current needs and our future ambitions for growth."

Both sites are aiming for a greener future, with a look into renewable energy generation across both sites with the introduction of solar PV, and the new premises is currently being fitted out internally with bespoke workspaces, specialist machinery and vehicle ramps with a view to being fully operational in early 2023.
