TCR UK - Isaac Smith crowned vice champion after nail biting finish to the season.

Cobra Sport brand ambassador Isaac Smith narrowly missed out on his first championship title during the closing stages of the 2022 TCR UK competition. In the run up to the final event of the season, Isaac scored six podium finishes in his first full season in the championship.

Having battled hard all season the title decider went down to the wire in a thriller of a finale at Snetterton. With seven drivers all in the running for lifting the trophy and Isaac running ahead of his rivals, it was Isaac's to lose in the closing stages of the race. He valiantly held off his charging title contenders in the middle of the race much to the appreciation of the Snetterton crowd.

Unfortunately a locked front left going into turn one late on in the race left Isaac with a difficult recovery from the grass to guarantee his second place finish in the championship. This also left the door open for former BTCC racer Chris Smiley to take home the championship title in a thrilling ending the the 2022 season.

Isaac's heart-break was clear from his post race interview having delivered time and time again throughout the season, Isaac however takes pride in being crowned vice champion for the season.

Isaac now looks forward to the winter break with all eyes on next seasons unwritten challenges.
