Philip Jarvis and his Team's Broadspeed Ford Anglia used to race almost every weekend in the special saloon championships (today known as the British Touring Car Championships) with considerable success.

Pete Jarvis left school and started work at Ascar Exhausts as an exhaust fabricator.
When Ascar sales began to decline, Pete Jarvis looked for opportunities to diversity from the core market and created the Cobra Sport brand to begin producing and fitting his own brand of stainless steel sports exhausts with higher quality methods of exhaust fabricating.

Ascar Exhausts ceased trading, compulsory purchased by the council due to a new inner ring road to be built through the centre of Sheffield. At this point, Phillip opted for retirement and Ascar closed for business.
To take advantage of this opportunity and to continue the family legacy, both Rachel and Pete managed to raise the finance needed and invested everything into a new company and Exhausts UK Ltd was established. Exhausts UK Ltd continued to develop the custom built stainless steel exhaust side of the business, under the Cobra Sport trademark proving increasingly popular with customers seeking quality performance exhaust systems.
Launch of the first Cobra Sport e-commerce website. A small initial range was developed to sell online and via mail order.
Approached by Subaru UK and Izuzu UK to produce a range of exhausts. Exhausts UK was going from strength to strength and taking on contracts with other major brands. Exhausts UK began to work with the Manufacturing Advisory Service along with other external support organisations and business mentors to critically evaluate the company and put in place a strategy for development and growth.
Re-brand and launch of new website with a full marketing campaign in place to attract new customers and new markets.

Cobra Sport take a more active role in the 'AmDTuning with Cobra Exhausts' BTCC Team running many of the corporate, hospitality and marketing activities for the team.
Cobra Sport jointly purchase two Honda Civic Type-R BTCC cars with AmD Tuning to run in the 2019 British Touring Car Championship. The team name became 'Cobra Sport AmD with AutoAid/RCIB Insurance Racing' and signed two experienced drivers in Sam Tordoff and Rory Butcher.
