Get up to Speed 2025 at Magna

What an experience it was to attend Get up to Speed last week and help inspire STEM students in our community!
The impressive Magna Science Adventure Centre in Rotherham once again played host to the Get up to Speed with STEM event — a dynamic and interactive showcase celebrating the exciting world of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Bringing together students, educators, employers, and industry leaders, the event offered a unique opportunity for young people to explore future career paths, get hands-on with cutting-edge tech, and meet the innovators shaping tomorrow’s world. With a buzzing atmosphere and plenty to see and do, it was a day packed full of inspiration and discovery.
Students had the chance to get a taste of the industry, with our stand showcasing demonstrations of work we've completed as well as a chance for them to participate in the use of our Romer Arm scanning tool. Our Junior Project Engineer William Keelan and Engineering Manager Jamie Sheppard IEng, GCGI, MIET were on hand to help inspire and educate the students on all things Manufacturing and to discuss potential routes to employment.
