Motorcycle News Magazine - Harley-Davidson Sportster S (September 2026)
Posted by Nick Cockman
We're delighted to share that our Harley-Davidson Sportster S Performance Exhaust has been featured in the latest long-term test update from Adam Oldfield in Motorcycle News (MCN), one of the UK's most respected motorcycle publications.
As part of MCN's long term ownership review of a Harley-Davidson Sportster S 1250, Adam was looking for a way to unlock a more authentic Harley soundtrack from the modern liquid-cooled V-twin. After fitting our H-pipe half system, the results immediately left an impression.
In his review, Adam highlighted the transformation delivered by the Cobra Sport exhaust, noting not only the deeper and more characterful sound, but also the reduction in weight compared to the factory system. The MCN test reported that the Cobra Sport setup sheds approximately 4kg compared to the stock exhaust while also reducing running temperatures around the pipework. Most importantly, however, was the improvement in the riding experience.
"It's loud, proud, and exactly how a Harley should sound, with a cheeky little pop on the overrun."
— Adam Oldfield, Motorcycle News
The review described the Cobra Sport system as "looking the business" thanks to its matt black ceramic-coated silencers and premium construction. Following publication of the article, Adam put the exhaust through its paces on a major European trip, including a visit to European Bike Week in Austria.
For Harley-Davidson riders looking to reduce weight, improve aesthetics and unleash the distinctive V-twin soundtrack that many feel the factory system hides, the MCN long-term test demonstrates exactly why the Cobra Sport Sportster S exhaust has become such a popular upgrade.
