Today saw the official launch of the 'AmDTuning.com with Cobra Exhausts' British Touring Car team at the first event of the BTCC calendar at Donington Park.
Media day is traditionally the first event of the season at which the media and public get a chance to see the new 2017 drivers and cars for the first time.
Both Audi S3s have been treated an upgraded Cobra Sport Exhaust system this season expertly TIG Welded by our skilled technicians at our HQ in Sheffield. The new exhausts has been designed to work in conjunction with the upgraded RML parts to give the drivers a competitive edge this season. Driver feedback from the newly developed cars has been very positive with Ollie Jackson commenting that the Audi has never felt better to drive and a big improvement over last years setup.
The afternoon testing session was the first time the 2017 entrants have competed under the same test conditions giving an insight of what may be to come this season. Ollie Jackson finished the day in 10th place overall recording a lap time of just seven tenths off the quickest lap of the day by Tom Ingram.
Ant Whorton-Eales went quicker and quicker throughout the afternoon spending time fine tuning the setup of the car and getting used to the driving dynamics of the Audi making sure he is fully prepared for qualifying at first race of the year.
Our attention now turns to the first round of the championship over the weekend of the 1st and 2nd of April at the Brands Hatch Indy Circuit.
