2015 BTCC Season Launch

The BTCC season was launched with a massive event at Donington on 24 March 2015 attended by the national press and TV media. The Cobra Sport team went along to support AMD Racing and their driver Mike Bushell. Cobra Sport is one of their main sponsors for the 2015 season.

The first race of the season then kicked off at Brands Hatch over the Easter weekend. After a somewhat troubled pre-season due to illness, Mike's performance improved considerably throughout the weekend's three races. The final race saw the reigning Clio Cup UK show his potential with an assured performance in which he fought wheel-to-wheel with the likes of former champion Jason Plato before taking the flag in eleventh place.

Most importantly, that third race saw Mike cross the line as the best placed rookie driver and having been second rookie home in the earlier two races, he emerges from the weekend as the early leader in the Jack Sears Trophy with an impressive trophy being the reward for his weekend's work.
