Ronan Pearson and Cobra Sport join forces for debut MINI CHALLENGE UK campaign

Ronan Pearson will benefit from the support of industry-leading performance exhaust specialists Cobra Sport ahead of his maiden season in the MINI CHALLENGE UK.
In 2020, Pearson will race the #66 JCW for Lux Motorsport as the category joins the undercard on the UK’s most prestigious package, the British Touring Car Championship.
That makes the partnership the perfect fit, with Cobra Sport already extensively involved on the TOCA package with leading outfits MB Motorsport and Motorbase Performance, among other clients at the top table in British motorsport.
Their logo will take pride of place on Pearson’s newly-liveried car, along with title sponsors William Waugh (Edinburgh) Ltd. and the returning Apex Networx.
As part of the agreement, Pearson’s long-term supporters Rentec Autocare will also become an authorised Cobra Sport dealer, with the expansion highlighting the commercial benefits of a motorsport-based partnership.
The amended calendar is yet to be confirmed, but will comprise events held at a number of the UK’s highest-profile venues in support of the BTCC, with live, free-to-air television coverage on ITV Sport.
“I’m delighted to have secured a commercial partnership with Cobra Sport,” said Pearson.
“To be carrying the name of such a highly-respected brand on my MINI for the 2020 season is fantastic, and something to be proud of.
“The deal we’ve put together involves me bringing new authorised dealers on board to help expand Cobra’s distribution network, the first of which being Rentec Autocare.
“I’m very grateful for their support in an exciting partnership, which I know will thrive as the season goes on.”
