VW Golf GTI MK7 Performance Exhaust Systems

Cobra Sport's Research & Development department got their hands on iconic Golf GTI Mk7 as soon as possible after the release date.

After the weigh in of the OE system, the team's initial reaction was that Cobra Sport can make fantastic improvements on the OE version, not only in weight saving, but also in achieving a healthy power gain to match. 

The finished cat back exhaust resulted in a fantastic 6kg weight reduction with the full system weighing in at only 14kg compared to the 20kg of the OE system. The decision was made to develop our range of sports exhausts for the MK7 VW Golf GTI in 3"/76.2mm bore mandrel bent stainless steel pipework to allow maximum results for increases in both power and torque.

Our MK7 Golf GTI exhaust systems have been developed with an option for resonated or louder non resonated centre sections. These cat back systems can be combined with a choice of front pipe options with high flow sports catalyst or de-cat section to form a full turbo back exhaust system.
