Cobra Sport attend 'Get up to Speed' Careers Event at Magna

Get up to Speed with Engineering and Manufacturing (GUTS), is the premier event in the region aimed at inspiring the upcoming generation of young engineers and manufacturers who will go on to be vital in the future of innovation and commercial success.

The Sheffield region in which we are a keen contributor and supporter is recognised internationally for its expertise in high-precision engineering and the manufacturing of metal based products. The promotion of manufacturing organisations and careers is currently high up on the national agenda, and we are keen to celebrate and promote the manufacturing industry locally, nationally and internationally and hope to help ensure we have the talented and skilled people that we need for future manufacturing success.

We were extremely grateful for the support from the AmDTuning BTCC team who gave their time to support the day. The team attended the careers event with the current 2016 Audi S3 British Touring Car which had been re-built after an eventful weekend of racing at Donington. Along with the car we are also thankful to current driver Ollie Jackson for giving his time by attending the event for the whole day talking to the attendees promoting careers in the manufacturing and motorsport sector.

The Get up to Speed careers event is a chance to see some of the UK's most exciting engineering inventions. Next years event will again be held at the Magna Science and Adventure Centre and will be held on Wednesday 26th April 2017.
