The September 2022 issue of Performance VW magazine highlighted the best of the VW Golf Mk8's by comparing the Golf GTI with its big brother, the Golf R. In the white corner, is the Cobra Sport x AET Motorsport Golf R, and in the grey corner is Golf GTI Clubsport.
Performance VW highlighted the extensive list of modifications fitted to the Golf R have enhanced the latest iteration of Volkswagen's hottest hatchback. The full list of modifications includes the Cobra Sport GPF Back performance exhaust along with Eibach Pro-Kit springs, Tarox upgraded brake package and Ramair intake.
Performance VW noted how the GPF-back setup by Cobra Sport has optimised the aural abilities of the turbocharged engine, adding extra tone, burbles and bass along with extra style to the rear of the R, curtesy of Cobra Sport's TP80 4"/76.2mm stainless steel tailpipes.
