Renault have owned the hot hatchback scene ever since the launch of their first hot hatchback, the Renault 5 Alpine, back in 1976. The recipe has been evolved and perfected over the past four decades and the latest hot hatchback to come from Dieppe is the all-new Renault Megane R.S. 300 Trophy.
The Megane R.S. is powered by the 300BHP 1.8L turbocharged engine as seen in the Alpine A110 sports car, and features Renualt's '4Control' four wheel steering system which allows for enhanced agility and cornering performance. The result is a hot hatchback which can lap the Nürburgring in under 8 minutes, making it one of the fastest and most advanced hot hatchbacks currently on sale.
As a result, the Megane R.S. has really hit the spot with enthusiast drivers around the world, however it is shipped from the factory with a muted exhaust sound which dilutes the overall driving experience.
Cobra Sport's all new performance exhaust range has been designed to enhance the driving experience of the Megane R.S. by developing a precision TIG-welded performance exhaust which not only adds a new level of sound but also adds performance.
Cobra Sport's research and development team were also able to increase the sound level by +12.9dB whilst offering a significant weight saving of over 30% in Venom non-resonated cat back configuration.

Cat Back with rear silencer – The Cobra Sport cat back with rear silencer offers Megane R.S. drivers a strong upgrade from the standard sound. By adding extra bass from the bottom end of the revs, the 1.8L turbocharged engine is allowed to sing to its hearts content when under load with the backbox supplying silencing that won’t disturb your neighbours every time you enter the street. This setup is also ideal to be matched with our high flow sports catalyst downpipe.
Venom Resonated Cat Back – The Cobra Sport Venom Resonated cat back presents the perfect middle ground of aggression and drivability. The factory mapped pops and crackles remain intact all be it with a touch of softening when compared to those produced by the Non-resonated Venom system. By removing the rear silencer, this setup offers a significant sound upgrade in all areas of the rev range.
Venom Non-Resonated Cat Back – The Cobra Sport non-resonated cat back system is designed for those that want to stand out in the crowd without effecting their emissions and catalytic converter. By removing all silencers after the Cat and GPF the Cobra Sport team have unleashed the full potential of the 1.8L 4-cylinder, making it a real head turner. The factory mapped pops and crackles become more pronounced with a heightened volume and feeling of emotion for when you want to feel the hostility from your B-road barnstormer.
